    Join us for the 5th Annual Cauthen Classic - APCA Scholarship Benefit Golf Tournament! Tee-off begins at 11:00 AM for a day of golf, networking, and giving back to the next generation of pest management professionals.

    Hosted by the Alabama Pest Control Association, this annual event raises funds for the APCA Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to the children of APCA members pursuing higher education. The scholarship program is a long-standing APCA tradition and a cornerstone of our commitment to supporting members and their families.

    Registration* & Sponsorship

    • **Team of 4 - $500
    • **Individual - $125, individuals will be assigned to a team at the course
    • Sponsorship - $500, sponsors will be acknowledged at the event and on the event page of the APCA website

    • **Registrations after July 19 increase to $600 for teams; $150 for individuals.
    • Cancellation on or before August 31: 90% of registration fee.
    • Cancellations beginning September 1: no refund due to cancellation.

    Daily Schedule, Locations and Topics

    Join us for the APCA Fall Workshop Series, offering up to 10 Alabama CEUs per workshop. Each workshop features four presentations covering key pest control topics relevant to today’s industry.

    • Monday, October 5, 1-5pm – Decatur
    • Tuesday, October 6, 1-5pm – Bessemer
    • Wednesday, October 7, 1-5pm – Prattville
    • Thursday, October 8, 1-5pm – Enterprise
    • Friday, October 9, 8-12noon – Mobile

    What to Expect

    Each workshop includes four sessions covering:

    • Termite / Wood-Destroying Organisms (WDO)
    • Pest Management
    • Public Health
    • General Pest Control (e.g., prevention, treatment methods, or related industry topics)

    These workshops are designed to provide valuable education, practical insights, and CEU opportunities for pest management professionals across Alabama.

    CEUs

    Workshop attendees are eligible to receive CEU credit from Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Florida and Tennessee.

    Registration

    • APCA Members: $50 per workshop
    • Non-Members: $90 per workshop
    • Sponsorship*: $250 per sponsorship

    APCA is offering an exclusive opportunity for up to two sponsors per workshop. Sponsors will receive an exhibit table, a brief opportunity (up to two minutes) to welcome attendees, and valuable visibility with industry professionals throughout the event. Sponsors are asked to provide drinks and/or food for attendees. For more information about sponsorship, please contact APCA.

    Cancellation

    Nomination Deadline: October 31; positions begin February 2027 (at the conclusion of the winter meeting)

    The Alabama Pest Control Association is accepting nominations for Board positions shown below.

    Terms will begin in February 2027 (at the conclusion of the winter meeting).

    APCA is seeking nominations for the following positions:

    • Treasurer/Secretary - 2 year term
    • Regional Director** - 10 vacancies will serve a 2 year term

    **APCA Regions

    Region 1 shall include Lauderdale, Limestone, Madison, Colbert, Lawrence, Jackson, Franklin, Morgan, Marshall, DeKalb, Marion, Winston, Cullman, Blount, Etowah and Cherokee counties.

    Region 2 shall include Lamar, Fayette, Walker, Jefferson, St Clair, Calhoun, Tuscaloosa, Shelby, Talladega, Cleburne, Randolph, Clay and Pickens counties

    Region 3 shall include Greene, Hale, Bibb, Chilton, Coosa, Tallapoosa, Chambers, Sumter, Perry, Autauga, Elmore, Lee, Marengo, Dallas, Lowndes, Montgomery, Macon, Russell, and Bullock counties.

    Region 4 shall include Choctaw, Clark, Wilcox, Washington, Mobile, Baldwin, Escambia, Conecuh, and Monroe counties.

    Region 5 shall include Butler, Crenshaw, Pike, Barbour, Henry, Dale, Houston, Geneva, Coffee, and Covington counties.

    Self nominations are encouraged.

    Nominees will be asked to submit an election statement describing the reasons for seeking this position. Nominees will be asked complete a conflict of interest form. 

    The APCA Board of Directors meetings occur monthly via zoom. They are currently held on the 1st Thursday of each month from 1:30 - 2:30pm central.

    Qualifications

    • All nominees must be current/active Operator or Organizational operator members in good standing.
    • Regional Director nominees should ordinarily live or work in the region they seek to represent; nominees from outside the region may be considered if they demonstrate substantial knowledge of its members’ needs and interests.

    Duties of the Treasurer/Secretary

    • Maintain a working knowledge of APCA recordkeeping requirements.
    • Ensure that official meeting minutes are recorded and maintained.
    • Ensure that APCA financial records are maintained.
    • Ensure that APCA membership records are maintained.
    • Carry out other duties necessary to support accurate APCA governance, financial administration, and membership administration.

    Duties of the Regional Director

    • Represent the interests, concerns, and perspectives of members in the assigned region.
    • Communicate regional needs, issues, feedback, and ideas to the APCA Board of Directors.
    • Share APCA Board actions, programs, meeting information, educational opportunities, and other association communications with members in the region.
    • Carry out other duties assigned by the President or the membership.
